hey betty!

i’ve been cruising the body shop website checking out my favorite of all facial products: the vitamin c line. there’s nothing better than citrus for the face: it makes you feel instantly perked up, alert, chipper, and not to mention, gives you glowing skin quickly! as much as i love the products from the body shop, they’re a little on the pricey side for me to just run out and pick up. so, what to do when you want a quick burst of vit c for your face, but little to no scratch in the bank? raid your fruit bowl, of course, and create an organic, natural face mask!

what you’ll need:

  • 1 orange
  • milk or water
  • honey (optional)
  • blender (optional)

how to do it:

peel yourself an orange, and enjoy! set aside the peels in a dry place, where the skin can properly dehydrate. once the peels have become hard, pop them in the blender or use a mortar and pestle to grind them to a fine dust. add enough warm water or milk to create a paste consistency. add a little less water/milk, and substitute a squirt of honey for an extra moisturizing mask. slap that goop on your face, and wait for it to dry up. gently remove the mask with a warm cloth, being careful not to scrub too hard.

enjoy your pretty, glowing skin!
